Two people remain in serious but stable condition after being airlifted to regional hospitals, while the driver now faces assault by auto and multiple firearms-related counts as the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office continues its investigation.
   

• Berkeley Grandfather Turns Down 10-Year Plea Deal In Fatal Barnegat Bay Boat Crash (communitynews.org) — Two young siblings from Lacey who died in a July Barnegat Bay boat crash remain at the heart of a high-profile case, as their grandfather from Berkeley Township has rejected a 10-year plea deal. He now faces up to 20 years in prison on reckless vessel homicide charges, with a key court date set for November in Ocean County.
