LACEY, NJ — Lacey Township has released its 2026 fall leaf collection schedule, with curbside pickup set to begin Monday, Nov. 9, according to a township notice posted Sept. 23.
The Lacey Township Department of Public Works said curbside leaf pickup is conducted only during the township's designated collection cycles. Leaves placed at the curb outside those collection periods will not be picked up, according to the notice.
The 2026 collection cycles begin Monday, Nov. 9, for the first cycle, Monday, Nov. 23, for the second cycle, and Monday, Dec. 7, for the final cycle. Each cycle takes the Department of Public Works about two weeks to complete, according to the township, so leaves may not be collected on the first day of a cycle.
The township said leaves must be placed in biodegradable brown paper bags or in containers no larger than 32 gallons. The notice also says residents should place leaves only out for collection and not include branches, acorns or other debris.
For residents who want to get rid of leaves before or between curbside collection cycles, the township said leaves may be taken to the Lacey Township Recycling Center during normal operating hours.
The reminder comes as the township heads into the fall season and begins preparing for annual leaf collection.
