Fall is officially here in Lacey, and there's no shortage of ways to make the most of it. From festivals and farmers markets to pumpkin patches, live music and other seasonal fun, October brings plenty of reasons to get out and enjoy what's happening close to home.

Where: Argos Farm | 1250 Lacey Road, Forked River
Thousands of glowing jack-o'-lanterns light the way during 2026 Jacks & Lights at Argos Farm, running on select nights from Sept. 18 through Nov. 1, 2026. Along with the illuminated pumpkin trail, visitors can explore a pumpkin patch and flashlight corn maze, snap photos among seasonal displays and pick up pumpkin-themed treats. Hours vary by night, and tickets are available online.

Where: Forgotten Room | 901 Lacey Road, Forked River
An Edgar Allan Poe theme sets a delightfully dark mood for the 5th Annual Halloween Vendor Faire at Forgotten Room in Forked River. The event brings together more than 20 vendors, a food vendor, sales and specials, giveaways and prizes, plus an exclusive Jellycat drop. Kids and dogs are welcome to join the fall fun, which runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: Gille Park | Lanoka Harbor, NJ
Things get spooky after dark during Nightmare At Gille Park, a two-night haunted trail experience running Oct. 9-10, 2026, with a rain date of Oct. 11, 2026. A sensory-friendly tour is available for $5 beginning at 5:30 p.m., followed by regular tours starting at 6:30 p.m. Advance tickets are $16, admission at the door is $20 and a limited $50 VIP option includes a T-shirt and priority entrance.

Where: Lacey United Methodist Church | 203 Lacey Road, Forked River
Test your spooky-season knowledge during Tricks, Treats & Trivia, presented by Harbor Stage Theatre Company at Lacey United Methodist Church. Teams and solo players can tackle questions covering movies, music, history, pop culture and more, with prizes, surprises and a costume contest adding to the Halloween fun. Doors open at 6 p.m., and trivia begins at 7 p.m.; tickets are available online.
When: Sunday, Oct. 25, 2026, 1 p.m.
Where: The Waterfront | 361 East Lacey Road, Forked River
The Waterfront's 7th Annual Trunk Or Treat turns its ballroom and parking lot into a free, family-friendly Halloween celebration. Kids can make their way among decorated indoor tables and outdoor trunks for candy, treats, toys and other giveaways, while participants compete for Best Costume, Best Trunk and Best Table. The event begins at 1 p.m., and those interested in hosting a trunk or table must register in advance because space is limited.
