Art Show To Benefit Homeless Veterans
Paintings by John Massa DiCesare at Art Show to raise money for homeless veterans.

On Friday, April 12th, an exciting art show and silent auction will be taking place at the Charles A. Smith Community Center, located at 15 E. Lacey Rd. in Forked River, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. This event will be showcasing the work of John Massa DiCesare, a local resident, a small business owner and a proud Marine. Having left us way too soon, his family wishes to honor his memory by benefiting other veterans and the Lacey United Methodist Church's Mt. Zion mission. The Mt. Zion mission is the only transitional housing mission for homeless veterans in Ocean County. All of the proceeds will be used to benefit the mission, which operates in conjunction with Vetwork. Vetwork, having provided assistance to Ocean County veterans since 1984, oversees the placement of veterans into the program. In addition to Vetwork's many functions, they also provide referral services in regards to counseling for alcohol and drug abuse as well as PTSD.
Tickets are only $25.oo in advance and can be used toward the purchase of artwork. A table can be reserved by purchasing ten tickets in advance. Credit card sales are welcome at the event. The evening will include a buffet dinner provided by the ever-popular Captain's Inn, beverages, a cash bar and live music. For more info, or to purchase tickets, contact the Lacey United Methodist Church at (609) 693-5222 or Vetwork at (609) 971-7613.
