Base Of Cross Damaged At Forked River Presbyterian Church
Incident happened sometime overnight between Aug. 7 and Aug. 8, police chief says.

Lacey Township police are investigating an act of criminal mischief at the Forked River Presbyterian Church where someone damaged the metal base of the cross in the church parking lot recently, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.
Officer Kymberly Gudgeon took a report from a church deacon at 1:56 p.m. on Aug. 8. The deacon told police that sometime between 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 7 and 8 a.m., someone damaged the cross base in the parking lot behind the church and Game Farm Road on North Main Street, the chief said.
The estimated replacement value of the metal base is $100, Paprota said.
