Bicyclist Suffers Head Trauma After Midnight Fall, police chief says
25-year-old flown to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, police determined he was impaired.

A Forked River man suffered head trauma when he fell from his bike in the Barnegat Pines section of the township, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.
Officer Elton Copes and Officer George Resetar responded to the intersection of Sommerell Avenue and Joffre Street at 12:11 a.m. on June 5 on a report of an injured bicyclist. The caller reported that she saw a bicyclist lying face down on the ground next to his bicycle, the chief said.
When police arrived, they saw that the 25-year-old Forked River man had head injuries. The man was flown the Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, where he was treated for his injuries, Paprota said.

"Investigation at the scene indicated that the bicyclist had fallen off of his bicycle as a result of impairment," the chief said.
