UPDATE: Blessing Of The Animals Slated For Sunday At Popcorn Park Zoo
Rev. John Cardello will be on hand to bless shelter animals and pets, date changed from Saturday to rain date of Sunday, Oct. 5

St. Francis of Assisi - patron saint of animals - once wrote an ode to all living things in his Canticle of the Creatures.
“All praise to you, Oh Lord, for all these brother and sister creatures,” he wrote.
He loved animals so much that he and his early Franciscan brothers allowed themselves to be displaced a donkey when they were staying in a small hovel, according to americancatholic.org.
