Bob Mikkelsen Of Forked River Dies at 43

Bob Mikkelsen, 43, of Forked River, Lacey Twp., NJ, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015.

Born in Perth Amboy, he grew up in Woodbridge, and lived in Edison, where he graduated from Edison High School in 1990. He later moved to Forked River seven years ago.

Bob was a chemist for DPT in Lakewood, NJ.

Music was his life and he was a great musician. He played bass in many bands since high school and was active up until his death. He will be dearly missed by all in the music community. Bob will be rocking in heaven.

He was predeceased by his mother Dolores in 2002 and his sister Debra Engstrom in 2010.

Bob is survived by his father Fred Mikkelsen of Toms River, a brother, Brian Mikkelsen of Toms River, his aunts and uncles Barbara and Jerome Weber of Woodbridge, NJ and Richard and Pam Mikkelsen of Poultney, Vermont, a nephew Matthew Engstrom of Vineland, NJ, and two nieces Chrissy Weber and Theresa Weber, both of Woodbridge..

The family will receive friends at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2015 until the funeral service at 6 p.m. at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 995 Fischer Blvd., Toms River.
