Bomb Threat Placed At Lacey Walmart: Police

Police determined the premises were safe after a three-hour search.

LACEY, NJ — A bomb threat was placed Monday night at Walmart in Lanoka Harbor, police said. After investigating the premises, authorities said there is no active danger to the public.

Police were called in for an unspecified bomb threat at 8:02 p.m. The store decided to evacuate all customers while officials searched the building. The store reopened at 11:23 p.m. after authorities determined the store was safe.

The search involved Lacey and Berkeley police, as well as K-9 units from throughout Ocean County. The incident remains under investigation.
