Well the day has arrived. Yes we might have a little misty rain in the morning, but the day looks good other than that. Lacey Elks Memorial Day extravaganza is just hours away. We have over 70+ Vendors, 5+ Food Trucks, 2 Awesome Bands, and of course, our Pavilion is open. Come one come all. And I also heard something about a Golden Ticket and a ride on Santa’s sleigh for the Christmas parade. See you all there.

Free Airplane Rides for kids ages 8-17
Sponsored by EAA 898 at Ocean County Airport
When:Saturday, May 30 from 9-11 am
Location:Ocean County Airport at 
R.J. Miller Airpark in Berkeley Twp.
Pilots volunteer their airplanes and donate the fuel to give kids the opportunity to experience flight. The volunteers and pilots want to share their love for flight with possible future pilots.
The children with receive a certificate celebrating their flight as well as other gifts and opportunities for future training.
Parents can register their children at www.youngeaglesday.org.
If flights are cancelled due to weather, an email will be sent out to people who sign up and our rain date is the following day.

Join the Lacey Elks Special Children’s Committee for a delightful afternoon of creativity and community designed for special needs children and their families. Each child will receive a piece of pottery to paint and take home, followed by a delicious pizza lunch under the covered pavilion. This rain-or-shine event requires an RSVP by May 28th to ensure everyone has a spot and supplies.
