It's SEW Crafty is excited to share
with your troop, SEWing projects inspired by the founder of the Girl
Scouts, Juliette Gordon Low.

Low had started started her first charity called "Helping
Hands" to help the poor. She recruited her cousins and neighborhood
friends to sew clothes for those less fortunate.

Sew A Dress

Scouts will learn to cut pin and sew simple adjustable smock dress.

Dresses can be decorated with fabric markers, appliques buttons ..ect... then donated to a charity of your choosing

No sewing experience necessary , all materials and machines provided.

This is a 2 hour workshop that takes place at your meeting site.

$25 per person

Patch Pillow

Each Scout will receive four 4x4 cotton squares to design their own patches. The patches should be designed with goals for the future, or positive affirmations.

Once all 6 squares are designed the Scouts will sew the patches together, add a backing with stuffing to make a small patch pillow .

No sewing experience necessary , all materials and machines provided.

This is a 2 hour workshop that takes place at your meeting site.

A Tree for the Future

Every spring

The sap rises in the trees

From root to branch

And makes a tree that looks dead

Blossom with green leaves

And life.

So it is that the Scouting Spriit

Rises within you and

Inspires you to put forth

Your best.

Tree Applique Stitching

Each scout will receive an embroidery hoop to crate their applique tree. Fabrics of all colors and textures, buttons, sequins and more will be provided so that each tree can be created from with in the Scouts Spirit. This is a hand sewing project. All materials will be provided.

No sewing experience necessary

This is a 1.5 hour workshop that takes place at your meeting site.
