PHOTOS: Bow Wow Luau Helps Find Rescue Dogs Forever Homes

A fun day at the luau for town pups

Pocahontas the Pitbull is one of many dogs that need a home. 

After being brought back to a shelter twice, managers are pushing for Pocahontas’ adoption.

Camp Bow Wow of Lacey held its first annual Luau, an adoption event and fundraiser.

Local rescue organizations, which partner with Camp Bow Wow for a foster dog program participated, including Blind Dog Rescue Alliance, South Jersey Boxer Rescue, SOS Beagle Rescue, Friends of Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter and A Tail to Tell Puppy Mill Rescue.

Dogs like Pocahontas were featured for adoption at the Luau. Monetary donations from the Luau will be split between the animal rescue organizations.

The event featured a photo booth, demonstrations, raffles, games, prizes and vendors.
