Each year the Township Committee selects a governing body member to serve as mayor. Quinn has now served two years in a row. He split with current GOP Committeeman Mark Dykoff earlier in the year, after Dykoff punched now-former committeeman David L. Most at a GOP picnic at Gille Park last year.
The current makeup of the Township Committee is all-Republican.
