Controlled Burns Taking Place In Lacey
Before reporting that smoke you see, consider if it's coming from one of these controlled-burn areas.
LACEY, N.J. — If you see smoke in Lacey today, consider whether it's coming from a controlled-burn area. The NJ Forest Fire Service will conduct two controlled burns Wednesday in the township.
The burns will take place at Dover Road and Route 539 (mile marker 21), the Ocean County Sheriff's Office announced Wednesday morning.
The following county locations will also have controlled burns Wednesday:

Officials have conducted controlled burning throughout the colder months.
