Coyote Spotted On Lacey Road West Of Parkway

Animal control trying to capture the coyote, please call Lacey police if you spot the animal.

The animal control company for Lacey is warning residents in the Lacey Road area west of the parkway to call police if they spot a coyote that has been roaming the area recently.

“...We are asking that you please do no approach the animal,” A-Academy Animal Control said in a post on its Facebook page. ”We are making attempts to capture the coyote and get the animal the care it needs.”

“If you see the coyote, please call Lacey PD and give them a location, but under no circumstances approach the coyote,” the post states.

“These members of the dog family once lived primarily in open prairies and deserts, but now roam the continent’s forests and mountains,” according to nationalgeographic.com.”They have even colonized cities like Los Angeles, and are now found over most of North America. Coyote populations are likely at an all-time high.”
