He married his high school sweetheart, Faye Mackres on May 26, 1996, and had three beautiful boys, George 17, Thomas 11, and Evan 10. David had a kind and generous heart and was always ready to help anyone in need.

David was a true family man. He cherished his children and created a beautiful life for them with his wife Faye, the love of his life.
David and his family enjoyed many winters full of skiing adventures. He was an avid skier, and took the boys night skiing, under the lights down black diamond trails. In the spring he enjoyed riding quads with his boys. He loved watching his little sailors sail their opti boats on the Toms River and going boating and fishing on Barnegat Bay every summer. Most of all David loved his summers traveling to Greece.
In addition to his beloved wife of 19 years and three sons he is survived by his loving father Leonard Roeber and mother Claire, his brother Eric Roeber, his sister Kristin and her husband Chris Soleau. His dear father-in-law George Mackres and mother-in-law, Aphrodite Mackres. His brother-in-law, Nick Mackres and wife, Politimi. His sisters-in-law Johanna Kaplanidis and her husband John, Angela Martin and her husband Spyro. Also many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He will be forever in our hearts and minds. We will never forget the joy he brought to our lives. He will always be remembered for his quick wit and gentle smile, and his generous heart. David was a member of St Barbara’s Greek Orthodox Church in Toms River.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday at the Layton’s Home For Funerals, Forked River.
