LACEY, NJ — Learn what's new in Forked River Beach and share concerns at an upcoming community engagement session hosted by Save Barnegat Bay and the American Littoral Society.

The meeting, set for Oct. 19 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., will update residents on the Bayside Beach Project. Experts will also be present so residents can share concerns about erosion, flooding, dredging and more.

Since 1995, the Forked River Beach area has lost more than a hundred feet of shoreline, according to the Littoral Society, and the rate has accelerated.

This is the second installment in Save Barnegat Bay's community engagement sessions for Forked River Beach. The first was held this past April.

The meeting will be held at Lacey Township Community Hall, 101 N. Main St., Forked River.
