Driver Hits Girl On Bike, Flees Scene: Lacey Police
Police found the vehicle but are still looking for the driver.
LACEY, NJ — Police are still searching for a driver who struck a girl on a bicycle Oct. 11 and drove off, authorities said. The girls was treated on scene and taken to the hospital for minor scrapes and bruises, according to Lacey police.
The incident took place around Haines Street and Lake Barnegat Drive North, while the girl rode her bike to Lacey Township High School that morning. The driver left the scene before police arrived, authorities said.
The victim and witnesses helped police find the vehicle in the Walmart parking lot, but the driver wasn't there. Police are still investigating.
