Driver Killed In Lacey Crash ID'd: Police
Investigation into the crash remains ongoing, Lacey police said.
LACEY, NJ — Police have identified the driver killed in Wednesday morning's fatal motor vehicle crash.
The man was identified as 39-year-old Forked River resident Eric Olesen, Lacey police said.
First responders went to Lake Barnegat Drive North and Haines Street just before 8 a.m. Wednesday for the report of the crash.

Upon arrival, they found Olesen dead at the scene, police said.
Preliminary investigation concluded that Olesen had been driving east on Haines Street and upon turning onto Lake Barnegat Drive North, drove off the roadway and crashed through a residential fence on Haines Street, police said.

Olesen drove through the fence into the home's backyard and crashed into a tree, police said.
No other injuries were reported.
