Elderly Asian Woman Missing In Lacey

Kuo Chun-Mei Tsai was last seen on Constitution Drive in Forked River, does not speak English.

Lacey Township police are searching for Kuo Chun-Mei Tsai, 72, who was last seen walking north on Constitution Drive in Forked River on Thursday, May 12 at approximately 4 p.m. 

The 4'6" tall, 120-pound woman has brown hair, and brown eyes. She only speaks Chinese and does not understand or speak English. She is missing all of her teeth, has orange nail polish and just moved to Lacey from Weehawken. She has only been in the United States since last October and is completely unfamiliar with the area, the chief said.

She has significant mobility impairment and uses a four-point cane. She does not usually leave the house unless in the company of her family.She needs a back brace support when going out for extended periods of time. The back brace was found in the family home, Paprota said.

She was last seen wearing brown pants, a brown jacket, pink Nike running shoes, and using a black cane with a four-prong base.

Two neighbors reported witnessing her walking north on Constitution Drive on the west side of the roadway at approximately 4 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2016. She was reported to have been having some difficulty walking, Paprota said. .

Lacey police Township Police Department have been searching for her during the overnight hours with the assistance of the Ocean County Sheriff's Department K-9 and the New Jersey State Police Helicopter.

Residents in the area are asked to check their properties and contact the Lacey Township Police Department at 609.693.6636 with any information. The searches and inquiries have included checking the stores in the area and the New Jersey Transit bus line. There is no indication that she had any ability to leave the area in a motor vehicle.
