George Matthew Ansbach Of Forked River Dies At 61
Services to be held on Sunday at Riggs Funeral Home

George Matthew Ansbach, 61, of Lacey, died Monday, December 8, 2014 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, following an illness.
George was born on March 31, 1953. He grew up in Howell and Jackson and graduated from Jackson High School. For 40 years, George worked as a letter carrier for the USPS, retiring in 2013. Even after retirement, he served as an Elected Representative of the Association of Letter Carriers. George served on the Pheasant Run Homeowners Association Covenant and Sprinkler Committees and participated in their bocce, bowling and shuffleboard leagues.
George was predeceased by his parents, William and Jean Ansbach, brother Wayne Ansbach and stepdaughter, Julie LeRoy. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Ann Ansbach; former wife, Maureen Santucci; three brothers, Walter Ansbach and his wife Donna of NC; John Ansbach and his wife Linda of Lacey and Thomas Ansbach and his wife Nancy of PA; two children, Christopher Ansbach of Toms River and Meghan Ansbach of Chicago; former stepson-in-law, Matthew LeRoy; eight nieces, nephews and their spouses, 11 grand-nieces and nephews, along with many friends.
Friends and Family are invited to visit from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 14 at Riggs Funeral Home, 130 N. Route 9, Forked River. In lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Make-A-Wish Foundation of NJ, 1347 Perrineville Rd, Monroe Township, New Jersey, 08831. Cremation will be private.
