Get Outside: Lacey One Of Ocean Co.'s Best For Outdoor Activities

LACEY, NJ — Spring is a great time to enjoy all that nature has to offer, and according to a new report, there are few places better than Lacey to do so.

Niche, the website best known for its rankings of schools and neighborhoods, recently released its "2024 Best Places to Live" rankings. And in the new rankings, Lacey was ranked as one of the "Best Places for Outdoor Activities in Ocean County."

Lacey's "A" grade in outdoor activities is the highest in any of its Niche categories.

It's not clear what specifically goes into Niche's methodology, but Lacey is home to several parks on the local, county and state level.

Gille Park, for example, boasts sports fields, a roller hockey rink, a playground and a walking path. History lovers can explore Eno's Pond County Park, and you can enjoy the beauty of the Pinelands at Double Trouble State Park.

Additionally, Lake Barnegat is home to the Wibit - a large floating playground and the only place in Ocean County to do so.
