Grand Re-Opening Of Thrift Shoppe
The Joy of Angels will be having a grand re-opening this Saturday.

On Saturday, May 20th, the Joy of Angels Thrift Shoppe will be hosting a Grand Re-Opening of the store from 10am until 3pm. The thrift store, located in the Lacey United Methodist Church parking lot at 203 West Lacey Road in Forked River, is one of the many missions of the church, as they have provided clothing and blankets for the homeless and those in need. The Lacey United Methodist Church also works with Vetworks, housing veterans through our Mt. Zion mission. Among other things, the church has a Hope Chest Food Pantry, a Hot Lunch Program and is the home for the Summer Lunch Program.
Laura McDonald, co-chair with Maddie Stapleton for the Joy of Angels Thrift Shoppe, stated "I am very excited about the upcoming grand re-opening. The entire shop has been cleaned and reorganized. We offer new and used merchandise. We also have a garage full of furniture and bicycles. Our volunteers work very hard at displaying new items on our shelves every day. We also offer a great opportunity for the National Honor Society or students needing volunteer hours to receive credits for their work."
At the Grand Re-Opening, there will be door prizes, music and refreshments, in addition to the in-store specials that will be going on all day. The Joy of Angels Thrift Shoppe is currently closed on Sundays and Mondays. They are open on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 10am until 1pm; on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am until 4pm; and on Thursdays from 8am until 4pm. They are looking for more volunteers to help expand their hours.
