As Independents, we receive ZERO funding from political parties and our ONLY allegiance is to the citizens of Lacey Township,“ the two wrote on their Facebook page.

“If you share our vision of citizen-centered government where public safety and stabilizing taxes are the top priorities, please consider a small donation to help us set the township on a new path,” the post states. ”It is time to make Lacey Township work for ALL the people and not a select few. With your help, we can realize this goal.”

Neither political party has served the best interests of Lacey residents over the past 20 years, the two said.

“Instead, they seem more interested in keeping friends and families in positions with township at extraordinary salaries,“ the post states. “Our taxes continue to rise despite the power plant presence and the big box stores which were promised to stabilize taxes. People are losing their homes or deciding to leave Lacey Township. We need fresh ideas and citizen-centered decisions.”
