Intoxicated Driver's Car Overturns In Lacey, Syringe Found: Cops

Charges include aggravated assault on police and possession of drug paraphernalia.

LACEY, NJ — A woman faces several charges after her vehicle struck a utility pole guide wire while intoxicated, causing her vehicle to overturn, police said. Alexandra Vandorn also tried to discard drug paraphernalia and became "combative" with officers at police headquarters, according to officials.

The accident took place at 11:45 p.m. last Friday at Route 9 and Bay Way. While speaking to Vandorn, police determined she was impaired and arrested her.

Vandorn, 33, was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated assault on police, resisting arrest, possession of a hypodermic syringe and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She was jailed in the Ocean County Correctional Facility.
