Intoxicated Waretown Man Walks Into Lacey Home: Police

The man allegedly told police he entered because his father was inside doing an estimate, which authorities determined wasn't true.

LACEY, NJ — An intoxicated Waretown man walked into a Lacey home without knocking Wednesday morning, according to police. Upon arriving, police found Robert Hyres leaving in his vehicle, authorities said.

Hyres, 29, told officers he entered the home because his father was doing an estimate inside, police said. Authorities determined there were no contractors at the home, and Hyres was under the influence.

He was charged with DWI and reckless driving. Authorities released Hyres pending a court appearance.
