Kenneth Moeller You Are Missed

Kenneth Moeller You Are Missed - A Message From His Oldest Daughter

My Dad Kenneth C Moeller 61 of Lanoka Harbor NJ was hit by a drunk driver on Monday November 10, 2014, on his way home from work. After remaining in critical condition in Jersey Shore Trauma Center, my Dad passed away as a result of his massive injuries on Monday November 17, 2014 surrounded by his wife of 38 years and best friend Debra Moeller, his daughters Melissa Moeller Gregg 40 of Forked River NJ, Heather Moeller 19 of Lanoka Harbor NJ and Jennifer Moeller 18 of Lanoka Harbor NJ.

My Dad was born and raised in Bayville NJ and is predeceased by his parents Thomas and Lorraine Moeller. He grew up with three siblings, (predeceased by) his brother Vice Admiral Robert Moeller, (survived by) his sister Carol Durkin and brother Daniel Moeller. Kenneth Moeller graduated in 1972 from Central Regional High School located in Bayville NJ and continued on to The Conneticut School of Broadcasting.

My Dad loved music especially The Beatles, country and gospel. He held a passion for playing the bass guitar, reading the bible, baseball and making jokes. He was a hard worker to support his family that he loves and a kind sole to everyone he met. He loved spending time with his daughters and three grandchildren. His oldest grandson Joseph 15 (lovingly referred to as Joey Joe) his granddaughter Taylor 11 and youngest grandson Michael 5. He enjoyed campfires and making smores with his daughters and grandchildren. He held a special bond with his granddaughter Taylor as they would spend hours doing yard work together, gardening, building things, painting, playing with his dog and chatting.

My Dad worked hard his entire life for his family and was looking forward to his youngest daughters creating their families and adding to our family with husbands and future grandchildren. He was excited for them to go out in the world and create new experiences for themselves and make their dreams come true. He was anxiously anticipating retirement in the next few years once the youngest daughters were away at college to enjoy long waited time with his wife camping and traveling to the destinations he has been researching on google. He learned how to google in the last year and was really enjoying it.

I could go on and on for hours telling stories of all the fun times my family had and all the examples of what a loving husband, father and grandfather he was but, I am sure you have figured that out already.

During this tragedy my family and I must understand that a life lesson lies within this devastation we are feeling. We know he is in heaven looking down on us and providing us strength to go on without him here. We hold him in our hearts as our guardian angel. He passed in such an unfathomable way we must realize, maybe it’s not about the happy ending. Maybe it’s about the story. Please learn one thing from my family. Never drink and drive.

Kenneth Moeller is loved and missed beyond the definition of any words could possibly express.

His Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Sunday November 23, 2014 at Mastapeters Funeral Home in Bayville NJ 5PM - 7PM. In lieu of flowers, we are accepting donations for the immediate expenses for his wife and a college fund for his two teenage daughters. Please click on the link below to donate.
