Lacey Board of Education Taps Brewer As Next Principal Of Lanoka Harbor Elementary School

Current Assistant Principal at Lacey High School begins on July 1

With his four young boys and wife looking down from the top row of seats in the high school lecture hall, the Lacey Township Board of Education voted to appoint Jeffrey Brewer as the next principal of the Lanoka Harbor Elementary School.

"I know Jeff is going to bring all the experience he has learned here at Lacey High School," Superintendent Sandra D. Brower said at the April 15 board meeting. "We are so excited for him."

Brewer spent 15 years at Lacey Township High School, working as a teacher, coach, and currently as assistant principal.

"I can promise you this," Brewer told the board. "You'll get my best. It's been a fantastic 15 years. I wouldn't have traded it for anything. There is a part of me that's sad to leave here, but I'm really excited to go to Lanoka Harbor."

"I think he coached just about every sport," said board member Maureen Tirella. "I've know Jeff for a long time. He has touched many kids' lives."

Brewer will be paid a base salary of $108,000, and $2,500 in longevity pay. He begins his new job on July 1.

The board also honored April Seniors of the Month Lauren McGuire and Brian Strohmetz.
