Lacey Card Helps You Save On Taxes, Support Local Business
The Lacey Estate Card gives you a chance to save on property tax while helping local merchants.

Lacey residents have an opportunity to save on their property taxes, while helping local businesses. The Lacey Estate Tax card gives residents an opportunity to shop and earn savings on their taxes, Mayor Timothy McDonald announced in an email Thursday.
Here's how it works. You can sign up online to get an Estate VISA Prepaid Card. Then you transfer money to the debit card, which allows you to purchase online from over 3,000 different vendors.
Local merchants can enroll online to give customers a percentage back off purchases with the card. It's up to businesses how much they want to give back, said Lacey Township Administrator Veronica Laureigh.

"You might get 3 percent, or certain days like Black Friday, they might give more than other times," Laureigh said.
Customers can cash in those savings for their February property tax bill, Laureigh said. Although you can start earning points now, those tax savings will be available February 2020, she said.

"We want to ensure that Lacey Township continues to be a great place to live, work, raise a family and grow a business," McDonald said in an email. "We hope that this program is utilized by all to help you, our local businesses and Township!"
