Lacey Fire Departments Warn Of Scam Calls

Several Lacey Township fire departments emphasized they don't seek donations over the phone.

LACEY, NJ — Several Lacey Township fire departments warned residents about scam phone calls. They reiterated that they do not seek donations by phone.

The Forked River Fire Department received several reports that someone is soliciting money as a volunteer fire service. The FRFD emphasized that these calls aren't affiliated with them.

Lanoka Harbor Fire Station 61 said fire departments in Lacey won't seek money by phone.

The Lanoka Harbor Fire Company does a coin toss at Lacey mall," the station wrote on Facebook. "We do mail outs with the official fire company letterhead we do NOT SOLICIT over the phone."
