Lacey First Responders Exceed No-Shave November Fundraising Goal
The month without shaving was worth it, as the "Lacey Township Challenge" raised over $4,000 for charity.

LACEY, NJ — Letting the facial hair grow was worth it. Lacey first responders exceeded their $4,000 fundraising goal for No-Shave November.
"Lacey Township Challenge" participants raised $4,671 last month, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella announced Wednesday. Funds will support charities such as St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Prevent Cancer Foundation and Fight Colorectal Cancer.
Participating agencies included Lacey police, Forked River Fire Department, Lanoka Harbor Fire Department, Bamber Lake Fire Department, Lacey EMS, Lanoka Harbor EMS and the Lacey Township Dive Team.

No-Shave November is a fundraiser in which people grow their facial hair to raise awareness and funding for cancer charities.
The above photo was taken Tuesday — a few days after November ended. During the "after" photo, DiBella extended the No-Shave policy for Lacey police until 11:59 p.m. Dec. 31.
