Lacey Food Bank Receives $12.5K Donation

LACEY, NJ — The Hunger Foundation of Southern Ocean donated $12,500 to the Lacey Food Bank Program. Overall, the Hunger Foundation of Southern Ocean donated $100,500 to nine local pantries.

The foundation held a dinner and auction fundraiser earlier this month. The organization serves eight panties, including the following:

  • Barnegat Food Pantry (Barnegat)
  • Ken's Kitchen at St. Mary's Parish (Barnegat)
  • Ocean Community Church Food Ministry (Manahawkin)
  • St. Stephen's Episcopal Church Food Pantry (Waretown)
  • St. Francis Center Food Pantry (Long Beach Township)
  • St. Theresa's Church (Little Egg Harbor)
  • Greater Tuckerton Food Pantry (Tuckerton)

The Hunger Foundation of Southern Ocean also donated $500 to the new, teacher-run Southern Regional High School Food Pantry.

The Lacey Food Bank (102 Station Dr., Forked River) is open 10 a.m. to noon Monday through Saturday. Food distribution is held the third Thursday and Friday of each month (except in months with five Fridays, then it's held the fourth Friday).

Lacey Food Bank's next distribution day is Thursday, June 20.
