Lacey has a new District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler for the South-East District.

Gregory Scarlato was formally inducted as the new District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler for the South-East District of the New Jersey State Elks Association. He was installed to this esteemed post during the 160th Grand Lodge Convention of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, held June 29 - July 2, 2025, in Kansas City, Missouri-specifically on July 2 at the 2025 National Convention.

As the National Representative for the Lodges in the District, Gregory Scarlato will be responsible for working with local Lodges to fulfill the Elks' longstanding commitment to promoting charity and service within their communities. Gregory Scarlato is a proud member of Howell #2515.

There are more than 54,000 Elks members and 107 Lodges in New Jersey. Last year alone, New Jersey State Elks Lodges donated more than $16 million to enrich our communities.

Volunteers contributed an astounding 365,000 hours of service and drove over 1.4 million miles to support veterans, youth, and those in need throughout the state.

Nationwide, the Elks award college scholarships totaling over $4.5 million annually. In the past year, the Elks donated approximately $300 million in cash, gifts, and volunteer time to make communities better places to live. The Elks Community Investments Program will award more than $16 million this year to support charitable projects across the country, and the Elks National Foundation will distribute over $50 million nationwide through State Charities Grants, Special Project Grants, Bonus Grants, and other programs that help fund the Order's many charitable activities.
