Lacey Little League Opens with a Slam
Lacey Little League had their opening day ceremonies on April 9
Lacey Township had a break in the bad weather for the opening Little League Ceremony.
Clune Park was crowded with excited kids and parents for another season of Little League.
President of the Little League organization Tom Crowell started the day off by thanking TD Bank for there generous donation of $4999.00 towards another season.

Crowell also thanked the support of the board members and honored the Costantino Family.
A field was dedicated and named in honor of past President Sam Costantino, who passed away in 2007, leaving behind his wife Amy and his sons Frank and Sam Costantino.

Costantino served as President of the Lacey Little League in the early 2000’s and was a member of the Hall of Fame. Costantino’s family was in attendance.
Mayor Gary Quinn came out to kick off the day by throwing the first ball of the season, but asked if Sam Costantino's youngest son, Frank would do the honors.
The first team up to play were the Yankees and Red Sox, ironically the same match up for the major leagues game later that day.
