Lacey PD Blotter: Fake Movie Money Used In Wawa

LACEY, NJ — Somebody used movie money to pay at Wawa. Lacey police responded to the 444 Route 9 S location at 8:06 a.m. Sunday for a fraud report.

The store manager counted out the register and found two counterfeit $20 bills. The bills had the same serial number and said, "This note is not legal, it is to be used for motion pictures only."

But the only cameras rolling were for surveillance. The cameras captured the unidentified suspect, police said. The case remains under investigation.

The item above was included in the Lacey Police Department's weekly report for Oct. 25-31. All incidents are merely accusations, and those accused are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty. Here are the rest of the items in the blotter, which Patch has not edited:

• Warrant Arrest – On Friday, October 25, 2019, at 1:30 a.m., Officer Jesse Dalziel responded to the 600 block of Sunrise Boulevard for a dispute call in. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 36-year-old Erin K. Royer of 1903 Baltimore Ave, Lavallette, NJ, for four outstanding warrants. One of the warrants was a no bail warrant out of Bergen County Sheriff's Department. The other three warrants were out of Cliffside Park in the amount of $250, Freehold Township in the amount of $2,500 and Berkeley Township in the amount of $500. She was processed and transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.
• Criminal Mischief– On Saturday, October 26, 2019, at 10:59 a.m., Officers Michael Verwey and Dallas Gant responded to the area of Hickory Drive for a report of criminal mischief to a vehicle. The victim reported that he parked his vehicle in the driveway of his home on the evening prior and found the rear windshield shattered at the time of the report. It is unknown who or what caused the damage. The damage was estimated at $600.
• Theft– On Saturday, October 26, 2019, at 2:26 p.m., Officers Michael Verwey and Dallas Gant responded to the area of Boox Street for a report of a theft. The victim reported that he parked his motorcycle in the backyard of his home and that unknown person(s) removed items from the motorcycle's saddle bags. The missing items were described as a tool set, a motorcycle cover and a bottle of hydraulic fluid. The items were valued at $45.
• Criminal Mischief – On Sunday, October 27, 2019, at 4:10 p.m., Officer Michael Baldasari responded to the area of Elwood Street for a report of criminal mischief to a vehicle. The victim reported that he parked his vehicle in the driveway of his home on the day prior and found the passenger side window shattered on the morning of the report. It is unknown who or what caused the damage. The damage was approximately $300.
• Warrant Arrest – On Monday, October 28, 2019, at 3:36 a.m., Officer Scott Keefe stopped a motor vehicle for an improper left hand turn near the intersection of Haines Street and Manchester Avenue. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 23-year-old, Mosley L. Wright for two outstanding warrants. The first warrant was out of Little Silver in the amount of $1,000. The second warrant was out Berkeley Township in the amount of $350. He was processed and posted the bail.
• DWI with Accident – On Monday, October 28, 2019, at 6:41 p.m., Officers Michael Baldasari and Noah Schaffer responded to Walmart for a report of a minor motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 21-year-old, Joanna L. Miller of Johhny Drive, Farmingdale, NJ. She was processed and released on summonses for DWI and Reckless driving. The vehicle she was operating was impounded pursuant to Johns Law.
• Warrant Arrest – On Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at 6:58 p.m., Officer Anthony Sarno responded to the Lacey Inn in reference to Lacey Transportation not receiving funds for providing a ride to a subject. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 42-year-old, Kristin Dyas, of New York for three outstanding warrants. The first warrant was out of Brick Township Municipal Court in the amount of $537. The second warrant was out of Atlantic City Municipal Court in the amount of $400. The third warrant was out of Toms River Municipal Court in the amount of $250. She was processed and released on her own recognizance.
