Lacey Police Arrest Two, Seize 209 Bags Of Heroin

Daniel Kennedy, 64, and Lorraine Walters, 54, are lodged in the Ocean County Jail, police chief says.

Lacey police arrested two Lanoka Harbor residents and charged them with heroin possession and possession with intent to distribute after a traffic stop on Clairmore Avenue recently, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

Lacey detectives conducted the traffic stop in Lanoka Harbor on the afternoon of June 1. The stop was part of an ongoing narcotics investigation. Police interviewed the occupants, then discovered 209 bags of heroin, the chief said.

They arrested the driver, Daniel Kennedy, 64, 435 Sycamore Drive, Lanoka Harbor, and a passenger, Lorraine Walters, 54, 26 Laurel Boulevard, and took them to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River, Paprota said.

Bail was set for each at $50,000. Lacey detectives were assisted by a K-9 unit from the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department. Lacey officers Christopher Meyler and Brian Holt also assisted in the arrest, he said.
