Lacey Police Charge Ridgefield Woman With Possession Of CDS After Motor Vehicle Stop
Dana M. Demaio also charged with possession of CDS in a motor vehicle.

LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - Lacey police recently stopped a Ridgefield woman for a motor vehicle violation and charged her with possessions of a controlled dangerous substance, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.
Officer Michael Hein was on patrol at 6:49 a.m. on Oct. 7 when he observed a vehicle fail to come to a complete stop before making a right turn on red at the traffic light at the intersection of Lacey Road and Route 9.
He stopped the vehicle on Route 9 South near the intersection of Oak Street in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of Dana M. Demaio, 31, Lincoln Avenue. Demaio had an active traffic warrant for driving an unregistered vehicle in Elmwood Park, the chief said.

She was also found to be in possession of prescription medication for which she did not have a valid prescription. Dana Demaio was transported to Lacey Township Police Headquarters where she was released on her own recognizance by Elmwood Park Municipal Court on the warrant.
Lacey police also charged Demaio with possession of CDS, failure to stop before a right on red, and and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. She was released on a criminal summons, DiBella said.
