Lacey Police Charge Two In Assault On Forked River Resident

Terrence P. Bacon, Kevin A. Bacon both charged with burglary, theft and assault.

Two Forked River men are facing assault, burglary and theft charges after police arrested them for striking a man, trying to pull him out of his car and stealing his cell phone, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

A 45-year-old Forked River man went to police headquarters at 7:33 p.m. on Aug. 29 to report the assault. The man told police he was dropping a a family member off at a house in the 1700 block of Pineview Drive when he was approached and assaulted by the two males, the chief said.

Officers John McKee, Charles May, and Andrew Slota responded to the scene. An investigation led to the arrest of Terrence P. Bacon, 51, Pineview Drive and Kevin A. Bacon, 48, Pineview Drive. Terrence Bacon was taken to police headquarters and charged. His bail was set at $20,000. Kevin Bacon turned himself in at police headquarters on Aug. 30. He was processed and posted $20,000, bail, Paprota said.
