Lacey Police Charge Two With Public Urination Near Walmart

Patrol officer caught man and woman urinating next to a car at Haines Street entrance to store on Route 9.

A Lacey Township police officer on patrol in the early morning hours of Sept. 3 charged a man and a woman at the near the Haines Street entrance to Walmar for urinating in public, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

Officer Michael Verwey was patrolling Haines Street in Lanoka Harbor at 2:17 a.m. when he spotted Kevin Penn, 45, Pacific Avenue, Beachwood and Michele D. Baig, Holiday Place, Waretown, the chief said.

They were both issued a special form of complaint and summons for urinating in public. Kevin Penn was also arrested on an outstanding $150 Toms River Township Municipal Court warrant. Penn was transported to police headquarters and processed. He was released after posting bail, Paprota said.
