Lacey Police Charge Woman With DUI After Finding Her Passed Out With Baby In Car
Linette Romeo found in parking lot of Family Dollar store on Lacey Road, police chief says.

Lacey police recently found a Forked River woman passed out behind the wheel of her vehicle with a baby in the car, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.
Officer Jason Lee responded to the parking lot of Family Dollar located at 776 Lacey Road in Forked River at 3:15 p.m. on April 1. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of Linette Romeo, 36, Circle Drive. She was taken to police headquarters, where she was charged with driving under the influence and reckless driving, the chief said.
Romeo was also issued a criminal summons for driving under the influence with a minor passenger in the vehicle. The baby was turned over to the custody of a family member, pending an investigation by the state Division of Child Protection and Permanency, Paprota said.

Her vehicle was impounded pursuant to John’s Law, the chief said.
