Lacey Police Officer Lauded For Keeping Streets Safe
Officer Scott Keefe, on the patrol division, is an agency leader in DWI arrests, helping keep Lacey's roadways safe, the department said.

LACEY, NJ — The Lacey Township Police Department is taking the time to honor an officer they say is pivotal in keeping the township's roadways safe.
Officer Scott Keefe #97, a 10-year veteran of the department, is currently assigned to the patrol division.
According to the department, Keefe "serves as a pivotal member of the Lacey Township Fatal Accident Support Team and has been certified by the State of New Jersey as a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE)."

"Officer Keefe is routinely an agency leader in DWI arrests," the department said, adding that he has been recognized by the New Jersey State Office of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) twice, in 2019 and 2021.
Keefe was also the 2021 recipient of the Fallen Officer Jason Marles #271 DWI award, by the Ocean County Traffic Safety Officer's Association, which "recognizes law enforcement officers who go above and beyond in their commitment to removing intoxicated drivers from the roads."
