Lacey Toddler Accidentally Burned, Airlifted To St. Barnabas
The 14-month-old boy was burned when he reached for hot soup in kitchen.

A 14-month old boy was flown to St. Barnabas Burn Center in Livingston this afternoon after he suffered severe burns while reaching for hot soup on the family’s kitchen table, Sgt. Paul Sullivan said.
Lacey police responded to Urgent Care on Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor on a report of a child with burns to his arms and chest. The child‘s parents had immediately taken to Urgent Care for treatment after the accident. But Lanoka Harbor First Aid Squad members and MONOC paramedics determined that the burns were severe enough to fly the little boy to St. Barnabas, he said.
The helicopter transport was provided by Jeff-STAT medical transport out of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Sullivan said.
