Lacey Township School Board Candidates, 2019

LACEY, NJ — The filing deadline to run for school board was Monday. Ocean County released an unofficial list of candidates who filed petitions.

The Lacey Township School District holds elections Nov. 5. Each candidate was allowed to submit a three-word slogan to appear on the ballot.

Here are the candidates:

Three-year terms, vote for three:

• Sonia Marchitello, "TAXPAYER, MOM, NURSE"
• Shawn Giordano, "INTEGRITY, EXPERIENCE, LEADERSHIP"
• Donna McAvoy, "INTEGRITY, EXPERIENCE, DEDICATION"
• Linda A. Downing, "INTEGRITY, EXPERIENCE, COMMITMENT"
• Ashley Larsen, "VOICE FOR STUDENTS"
• Salvatore Armato, "FIGHTING FOR FAMILIES"
• Edward Scanlon, "EDUCATION, NOT POLITICS"
• Gavin Rozzi, "LACEY STUDENTS FIRST"

Two-year term, vote for one:

• Barbara Kayser, "DIRECTION AND ACCOUNTABILITY"
• Harold "Skip" Peters, Jr., "INTEGRITY, EXPERIENCE, LOYALTY"
