Lacey Township School District Calendar For 2024-25: Key Dates To Know

LACEY, NJ — Summer is almost over for Lacey students. The first day of school in the Lacey Township School District is Thursday, Sept. 5.

Freshman orientation is Aug. 27, and sixth grade orientation is Aug. 28. Preschool and kindergarten orientation at Mill Pond School is Sept. 3. First grade orientation at Forked River School, Lanoka Harbor School and Cedar Creek School is Sept. 4.

Preschoolers and kindergarteners all attend Mill Pond. Depending where you live, first through fifth grade attends Forked River, Lanoka Harbor or Cedar Creek. Sixth through eighth attends the middle school and then Lacey Township High School.

Here are some of the important 2024-25 school year dates to get on the calendar:

NJEA Convention/fall break, no school: Monday, Nov. 4 through Friday, Nov. 8
Election Day: Tuesday, Nov. 5
Thanksgiving break: Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29
Winter break: Monday, Dec. 23 through Wednesday, Jan. 1
Martin Luther King Jr. Day, no school: Monday, Jan. 20
Family-teacher conference: Wednesday, Jan. 29 through Friday, Jan. 31
Lacey Township High School midterms: Wednesday, Jan. 29 through Friday, Jan. 31
Staff in-service, no school: Friday, Feb. 14
Presidents Day: Monday, no school: Feb. 17
Spring break: Friday, April 18 through Friday, April 25
Memorial Day, no school: Monday, May 26
Last day for students: Thursday, June 19
