Lacey Woman Facing Burglary, Theft and Multiple Drug Charges
Her brother called police after he suspected his sister stole money from him, police chief says.

Lacey police recently arrested a township woman and charged her with burglary and theft, possession of heroin and numerous other drug charges, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.
Officer Michael Verwey responded to the 900 block of Center Street in Forked River on a report of a theft at 7:03 p.m. on Oct. 7.
“The complainant reported that he suspected his sister, identified as 26-year-old Rema Murrar, stole money from him,” Paprota said. ”The complainant also provided Officer Verwey with additional items that he believed his sister stole, which included a wallet belonging to a resident on the 800 block of Devon Street in Forked River, and two GPS units.”

Officers found a wax fold containing heroin, several empty wax folds, several hypodermic syringes, various items of drug paraphernalia, and a device utilized to defraud the administration of a drug test, which were all traced to Rema Murrar, the chief said.
Murrar was arrested and transported to Lacey Township police headquarters. She was charged with burglary and theft from a motor vehicle, possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a hypodermic syringe, possession of a device utilized to defraud a drug test, and two counts of possession of stolen property, Paprota said.
