Lacey Youth, 15, Taken To Hospital After He Was Found Unresponsive At Party

Boy's parents were away for the evening, police said.

Lacey police recently responded to a Forked River home on a report of an unresponsive 15-year-old after the boy's older brother summoned help, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

Officer Michael Verwey and Officer Martin Julian went to the home at 10:26 p.m. on April 15. A neighbor called for assistance after being summoned by the older brother of the unresponsive male, the chief said.

Investigation at the scene indicated that the 15-year-old male was having a party while his parents were away for the evening. He reportedly consumed a combination of various intoxicants to the point of incapacitation. The juvenile was transported to Community Medical Center where he was treated and later released to his parents, Paprota said.
