A Look Back At Ocean County More Than 100 Years Ago
Lacey branch of the Ocean County Library to present show on vintage photographs

Gary Saretzky from the Horizons Speakers Bureau of the New Jersey Council of the ArtsJ Council for the Humanities will present a slide show of 19th century in New Jersey at 7 p.m. on Oct. 1.
Most of the more than 3,000 professional photographers active in the state before 1900 worked in large cities. But some had , studios in smaller towns, including Toms River and Lakewood. This slide lecture will provide an overview of New Jersey photographers during that time period, followed by a discussion of several significant photographers who worked for part of their careers in Ocean County.
