Lost Kayaker Found Safe In Lacey: Police
Officials found the man pulled himself to safety near the mouth of the Forked River.

LACEY, N.J. — Following reports of a lost kayaker in Barnegat Bay, officials found the man safe in Forked River on Tuesday night, Lacey police said.
Lacey police attempted to locate the kayaker at the Berkeley Township Police Department's request. They began checking the waterfront at about 7:45 p.m. and quickly determined the kayaker was near the mouth of the Forked River.
The man later pulled himself to safety using a dock at the back of a home on Island View Drive in Forked River. The Forked River Fire Department and Lacey Township Underwater Rescue & Recovery also assisted the New Jersey State Police Marine Unit.
