Man Breaks Into Lacey Home, Injures Resident: Police
A witness heard a woman screaming inside the home, police said.
LACEY, NJ — A man broke into a Lacey home and injured a resident Wednesday afternoon, police said.
An Ellwood Street resident called police about two suspicious males. She made a second call to police shortly after to state one of them entered the home across the street. The witness heard a woman screaming, according to authorities.
Officer Michael Hutman saw a man running from the home, police said. Dsg. Robert Surtees found the suspect, Shaddiy Whittacker, walking nearby on Harrison Avenue, police said.

Whittacker, 29, was charged with burglary, aggravated assault, criminal mischief and resisting arrest, police said. He was taken to the Ocean County Correctional Facility without bail.
