Man Injures 2 In Lacey Accident, Gets DWI: Police
One man suffered "serious injuries" on his lower extremities, while a woman sustained head injuries, police said.
LACEY, NJ — A man injured two people in a two-car accident Tuesday night before getting a DWI, Lacey police said. Zachary Campbell turned onto Route 9 from Beach Boulevard in the path of a second vehicle driving south on Route 9, causing a head-on collision at 11:43 p.m., authorities said.
The occupants in the other car both sustained injuries. A 32-year-old Beachwood man suffered "serious injuries" to his lower extremities, police said. The driver, a 37-year-old Lacey woman, sustained head injuries. Both were taken to Jersey Shore Medical Center.
Campbell, 23, of Bayville, was uninjured. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving. Additional criminal charges are pending further investigation, police said.
